Protect the New Brunswick You Love.

Invasive species threaten New Brunswick’s biodiversity. Take action today to shield our local environment for generations to come.

What We Do at NBISC

We work to protect New Brunswick’s environment, economy, and community spaces from invasive threats through collective, localized action.

The New Brunswick Invasive Species Council (NBISC) is a registered non-profit organization. We bridge the gap between government action and community power, working alongside provincial authorities, industry leaders, and local volunteers to stop the introduction and spread of invasive species.

Why Our Work Matters

Invasive species have been introduced to an area outside of their native range, causing negative impacts on the natural environment by out-competing native biodiversity and altering ecosystem functioning.

They also have negative impacts on the economy, human health, and livelihoods through damage to infrastructure and reductions in agricultural or natural resource yields.

How You Can help

Your actions and involvement can help protect New Brunswick’s ecosystems.

Discover

Spot the risk, protect our province. Knowing how to identify invasive species and their impacts provides critical data to our government and community partners.

Take Action

Reporting sightings of invasive species in our communities helps staff and partner organizations across the province monitor and manage invasive species.

Give

Volunteering provides boots on the ground support, while donations fund critical field research and education. Together, they turn community action into conservation.

Expanding Our Impact Through Specialized Services

To better support our community and accelerate our conservation goals, we offer specialized, fee-for-service solutions for landowners, municipalities, and industry partners.

As a non-profit, 100% of the revenue generated from these services is directly reinvested into our core mission – funding public education, community volunteer events, and the protection of New Brunswick’s wild places. Choosing our professional services directly fuels localized environmental defence.
